Fatigue is sneeky, it creeps up slowly imparing your judgement like alcohol.Most of the signs of the onset of fatigue are ignored by many people, these can be restlessness, yawning, becoming distracted easily or loss of concentration and road hypnosis. Studies and tests have shown that once a driver looses concentration their steering pattern changes from making the normal slight but constant steering movements to slow and less frequent movements or worse none at all for short periods of time. Followed by short sharp movements.

This is where S.A.M. takes over. When S.A.M. detects very slow or no steering movements for a 3-4 second period it emits an alarm to alert the driver of their lack of concentration. It is automaticlly reset once the movement starts again.

S.A.M. also has fully adjustable sensitivity so it dosen't matter if you have an old vehicle with loose steering or a new one with tight steering you simply adjust the sensitivity to suit.
